The Exploring Scholar Advantage

Join a rapidly expanding K–12 enrichment provider where the focus is on academic depth and innovative instruction. We provide a modern, tech-forward facility and a dedicated admin team that handles all student recruitment, scheduling, and parent communication.
The Role

We are looking for a specialist in English Language Arts to lead small-group classes at our North York location. This role is designed for educators who are passionate about literacy, essay structure, and critical analysis.

Our curriculum spans from foundational literacy (Grade 3+) to advanced high school literary theory.

Note: This is a core ELA position (Reading, Writing, Analysis). It is not an ESL/ELL instruction role.

Why Join Our Team?
• Predictable Schedule: Stable, semester-based hours with zero uncertainty.
• Commuter-Friendly: Free parking stipends provided; only a 15-minute walk from Don Mills Station.
• Growth-Focused: We support our staff with professional development, resume cultivation, and opportunities to lead unique educational projects.

What You Will Do
• Curriculum Delivery: Facilitate high-impact lessons in phonics, grammar, composition, and literary analysis for small groups or 1-on-1 sessions.
• Versatile Teaching: Adapt your approach for younger learners (building reading confidence and vocabulary) through to seniors (mastering the research essay and university-prep analysis).
• Student Inspiration: Foster a genuine appreciation for North American literature and advanced writing techniques.
• Feedback & Assessment: Mark student work and provide constructive insights to help them reach their academic goals.
• Collaborate: Use our digital classroom tools to enhance the physical, in-person learning experience.

Candidate Requirements
• Academic Background: Degree in English, Education, or a related Humanities field is mandatory.
• Versatile Experience: Proven history of teaching or tutoring ELA. You must be comfortable working with students from Grade 3 through Grade 12.
• Subject Mastery: High proficiency in academic writing and literary criticism (assessed during the interview).
• Commitment: Available for a minimum of 4 hours per week at our North York campus.
